New York, NY September 16, 2010 Allhiphop.com in association with Triplebeam Pictures presents the release of the critically acclaimed hip-hop film "King of Paper Chasin" available in select cities on Friday, October 15, 2010.  Click here to view the trailer http://vimeo.com/14005400

"I am extremely excited about the movie making its select cities release as there has been a buzz around KOPC for awhile now, and it's finally time that other cities get to experience the message behind this story," says Dwayne "DL" Clark, Executive Producer/Lead actor of the film.  "I truly believe audiences will not be disappointed," he adds.

King of Paper Chasin' is led by Triplebeam Entertainment Hip Hop Recording Artist Dwayne "DL" Clark. DL portrays the role of "Carter Blanche" while Actress/Model Piarry Oriol takes on the role of DL's distrusting girlfriend "Thaila". This New York City crime-drama is inspired by actual events and is brilliantly captured and told by first time feature film director La Monte Edwards and is executive produced by Dwayne "DL" Clark.  Additional cast members include Lauren Hooper (Rachel Anderson), J. Stephen Williams (Uglyman), Joe Soma (Agent Richardson), Jason Rivera (Dell) and Dennis L.A. White (JB) among others.

Making it's premiere at an unprecedented two sold out audiences at the 10th Annual New York Latino Film Festival, presented by HBO, then taking the city of Atlanta by-storm, King of Paper Chasin' follows the life of Carter Blanche, a self-made entrepreneur who prides himself on the unconventional pursuit of money and success. Trying to leave his past ways behind, Cart has established himself as a credible underground artist in the mixtape circuit who's led to question his distrust in major record labels played by Lauren Hooper (Rachel Anderson), a beautiful, persistent executive from Highway Records.

As the pace of his music career is quickly accelerating, Cart's former partner in crime, Uglyman (Ug) is released from jail, causing conflict with Cart's new cohort Jason Rivera (Dell) who questions the loyalty of Cart's past crew. But (Dell) isn't the only one with questions; the FBI has been building a case against Cart that could come to a head with the help of Cart's confused girlfriend Piarry Oriol (Thalia). King of Paper Chasin' is the story of a man faced with his instinct to hustle and the desire stay on top.

King of Paper Chasin' is solely financed by Dwayne "DL" Clark, a hip hop artist and CEO of his own record label, Triplebeam Entertainment, who wanted to step outside the box and dare to be different. In an effort to further promote his music career and build leverage in what is an over saturated field he decided to finance this 7 figure project himself to allow the audience a look into his life and past experiences. "I don't expect everyone to be happy with what I'm doing" says DL, "but it was a story I wanted to tell. There is a lot of embellishment for entertainment purposes, but for the most part the premise of the movie is based off actual events," he mentions.
