Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins, makes history, receiving an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the largest orchestra for a hip-hop music concert

Grammy nominated artist, New York Times Best Selling Author and Entrepreneur, Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins, made history Saturday,November 1, 2025, receiving an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the largest orchestra for a hip-hop music concert. The record-setting performance featured 101 orchestra members and took place during Jeezy’s Las Vegas residency, TM:101 Live, at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The milestone moment unfolded during the second show of the residency, TM:101 Live, themed Masquerade. Official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ adjudicator Andy Glass flew in to personally present the achievement to Mr. Jenkins on stage with an official certificate.

After a short tease by DJ Drama and Adam Blackstone, the announcement brought the crowd to its feet as the venue erupted. Jeezy was nearly speechless as he accepted the honor, saluting hip-hop, orchestral music, his fans and the city of Las Vegas.

“This isn’t just a win for me—it’s a moment for the culture, for music, and for Vegas,” said Jeezy. “Thank you to every musician, every fan, and everyone who believed we could take this all the way. A winner is a dreamer who never gave up!”

The Color of Noize Orchestra, assembled for this groundbreaking production, delivered original arrangements composed by Derrick Hodge and musically directed by Adam Blackstone. The achievement marks the largest orchestra for a hip-hop music concert in the US! This performance also marked the largest orchestra to ever perform on a Las Vegas stage for any genre.

Jeezy extended gratitude to the full creative and performance team: “Thank you to all 101 orchestra members, composer Derrick Hodge, musical director Adam Blackstone, DJ Drama, DJ Ace—and most importantly, the fans.”

Kate Thurman shares her heart and testimony in new single FAITH THAT CARRIES ME

As the world is dealing with challenges and darkness seems all around, author/speaker/songwriter Kate Thurman aka Kate Elizabeth shares her inspiring message of hope in FAITH THAT CARRIES ME

"I know what it's like to go through challenges and feel lost," Thurman says. In 2025 she shared her miscarriage journey in the book BEAUTY BEYOND THE TEARS. Now she hopes her single FAITH THAT CARRIES ME reminds everyone going through challenges that that they are not alone. " The words of this song are not just my prayer. They are what I hope can be the prayer of others, giving them the strength they need to keep going."

[To You, From Me] Making 2025 A Year to Remember

No matter where you are in the world I think you can agree that 2025 has been anything but boring.

From tragic accidents to devastating wildfires and uncertainty, people around the world are mirroring the sentiment that this is NOT the year they were expecting. Do you feel the same way? Did you come into the year with your big goals and dreams only to see events upend what you planned?

If so, you're not alone.

This issue of Conversations Magazine was scheduled to be released in January, however, I made the decision to push it back due to all that was happening around those I work with and out of respect for the angst that many were feeling. Now as we are closing in on the tail end of the first quarter of the year, it feels like EXACTLY the right time to discuss how we can all move forward.

The truth is that none of us can control what is happening around us. What we can do, though, is choose not to allow ourselves to give in to the fear and negativity that can easily overwhelm us. This issue was designed to celebrate new beginnings, and I want you to look at this as your reset, no matter what you have been going through.

Through the stories we share it becomes obvious that challenges will come, but we can CHOOSE not to let those be our story. We can still make this a year to remember.

For me that means allowing space for any feelings I have, but finding ways to pivot to what I'm grateful for and leaning into that. I am blessed to have loving family, friends and work that love. THAT is what I choose to focus on. Yes the darkness is there, but I CHOOSE to lean towards the light.

You can do the same.

It may mean unplugging from information or even people that don't serve you well. It may take some additional effort to look for those blessings around you. No matter what you choose, the important thing is to not allow what has been to keep you from seeing what can be.

You can make 2025 a year to remember for the RIGHT reasons if you CHOOSE to do so.

Enjoy this issue and remember this: I'm rooting for you.

Happy reading!

[BOOK REVIEW] With MARTIN'S HEART (A Story of Forgiveness) Dr. Norma McLauchlin shows the importance of healing hearts

by Cyrus Webb

In a divided world it can be difficult to see how we can ever come together, however, in MARTIN'S HEART (A Story of Forgiveness) Dr. Norma McLauchlin shows the importance of looking for ways to connect.

Using the example of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. we are able to see how individuals of all ages can learn how to heal and move forward together by getting to know others, showing empathy and being willing to admit when we have done wrong. It's an inspiring book for kids, but contains many lessons that adults do well to consider as well.

What if someone is unwilling to do what is right? The book addresses this, too. As it says: "Forgiveness is like a gift we give ourselves. It helps us feel free. Even if someone doesn't say sorry, we can choose to let go of our anger."

This is not an easy road to travel, but with true effort we can become better each and every day.

The timing for MARTIN'S HEART could not be better. Dr. Norma McLauchlin delivers a powerful message that shows the importance of healing hearts, starting with our own.

MARTIN'S HEART (A Story of Forgiveness) is available on Amazon
